Quality Premium Seeds

Help us save the UK Bee population.

From each purchase £1.00 goes towards a real beehive, helping the honeybee population recover and supporting honeybee related initiatives around the UK.

A selection of wildflower seeds selected to attract Bees and Butterflies and help maintain and encourage the UK Bee population to thrive.

All seeds included are RHS "Plants for Pollinators".

This seed packet meets the criteria of the RHS Plants for Pollinators scheme with at least 75% of seeds being featured on the list.

You can sow your seeds as soon as they arrive in the post. Seeds should be sown from late January until late October.

As there are hundreds/thousands of seeds in each pack, we are unable to guarantee the exact mix of seeds nor the ratio of seeds in each mix.

What we can assure our customers is that we always aim to provide a good mix of wildflower seeds, with no grasses bulking out the mix.

  1. Choose where you would like to grow your Wildflowers
  2. Rake the surface of the ground to about 1cm depth
  3. Shake the packet well
  4. Make sure that you dont sprinkle the seeds too close together
  5. Sprinkle the seeds evenly and then immediately water
  6. Cover the seeds over to avoid them spoiling or being taken by birds and other wildlife
  7. Continue to water but only lightly
  8. Be patient and after 4 to 8 weeks you will start to see the fruits of your labour
  9. Remember the colder it is the slower the germination process will be
  10. Bear in mind that initially there will be lots of green leaves whilst the seeds grow and establish into young flowers. *Patience is key at this stage.

The seed rate for annuals is 2 grams to the sq metre. For wildflower perennials, it is 1.5 grams. As the seeds are a mixture of both, 2 grams per sq metre would be suitable.

Contained seeds example (but not limited to): Paper Daisy, Pheasants Eye, Pot Marigold, Cornflower, Dwarf Morning Glory, Corn Marigold, Evening Primrose, Forget-me-not, Four o Clock, California Poppy, Babys Breath, Corncockle, Love-in -a-mist, Corn Poppy, Golden Tickseed, Blue Lupin, Borage, Purple Tansy, Blanket Flower, Clarkia, Mixed Cosmos, Marsh Mallow and Clovers.

If you prefer you can sow the seeds in a greenhouse all year round.

Wildflowers
01 August 2020  |

Thanks for the wildflower seeds, I planted the beginning of May and the results have been amazing, I have a variety of flowers of all sizes and colours it’s been fascinating looking up all the different varieties, I have some in planters which took really well and also created a wild garden that butterfly’s and Bees seem to enjoy. Thanks again.
